Summary:
At its meeting on July 7, 2026, the City Council approved Ordinance 26-36, which created Section 3.50.200 in the Olathe Municipal Code (“O.M.C.”) governing the procedures used to bid public improvement projects. The provisions of Section 3.50.200 were modified from the provisions of City Council Policy PI-1A, as the intent was to move these provisions into O.M.C. Chapter 3.50 so that all procurement requirements may be found in that chapter. Section 3.50.200 will go into effect on July 27, so the attached resolution (Attachment A) will repeal the resolution establishing the current version of Policy PI-1A as of that date so there is no overlap or gap in the transition between the policy and the ordinance.
