Summary:
The Facility Improvements and Renovations project was first included in the 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan and updated in the CIP 2025-2029. This project is for the renovation of City Hall, Robinson Administration, Fire Administration, and Olathe Community Center to align with the intent of the Olathe 2040 space assessment plan. Resolution 24-1051 increased the total project budget to $7,500,000 with $1M coming from cash funds set aside and the remaining $6,500,000 from General Obligation Bonds.
The City Council has approved the Construction Manager at Risk agreement with Titan Built on January 23, 2024 for pre-construction services and has approved the GMP Amendment for a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) $3,575,158 on October 2, 2024.
Change Order 02 in the amount of $650,000 is for the OCC renovation to add a children’s area and update the check-in desk for improved service to residents.
The new contract amount will be $4,225,158 and the completion date will extend 2 months from June 30, 2025 to August 31, 2025.

Financial Impact:
There is no increase in Funding for the Facilities Renovations and Improvements Project, as approved on October 2, 2024 for the amount of $7,500,000.
