Summary:
Council approved renewal of these contracts in May 2023.
Chemicals used for the City’s water and wastewater treatment are specialty projects specific to the treatment processes and are required to comply with the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), Underwriter Laboratories (UL), American Wastewater Association (AWWA), Federal, State and Local regulations.
Staff recommends one (1) year renewals to Harcros Chemicals, Inc., Brenntag Mid-South, Polydyne, Inc., Poet Ethanol Products, DPC Industries Inc., Carus LLC, PVS Technologies, Inc., Mississippi Lime Company, Nalco Company, Evoqua Water Technologies, LLC and Kemira Water Solutions, Inc., with no additional renewal periods available.

Financial Impact:
$2,100,000.00. Expenditures will be charged to the chemical accounts of Water Production and Wastewater Treatment.
