Summary:
The Fire Department established a task force of Fire Department Senior Management Team and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) personnel in 2024 to review the various manufacturers of UGVs. The result of the task force was a decision to establish AeroVironment Inc., as the City’s standard. This UGV is available for purchase through a sole-source provider, AeroVironment Inc., which serves as the exclusive authorized supplier for this equipment.
Fire Department Senior Management and the EOD Commander recommend the purchase of one (1) telemax EVO HYBRID V2 UGV for the Fire Department
The recommendation is for-
-One (1) telemax EVO HYBRID V2 UGV. The cost for the one (1) telemax EVO HYBRID V2 UGV is $540,144.10. This unit will replace the 2012 Andros F6B UGV.
The UGV is scheduled to be delivered 5 months from the approval for purchase. Estimated delivery is September 2026.

$540,144.10 for one telemax EVO HYBRID V2 UGV and accessory equipment. Apparatus funding will come from the Vehicle Equipment Replacement Fund (VERF).
