Summary:
This project is in place to improve the parking area at the Olathe Girls Softball Complex.
This improvement is Phase I of the Olathe Girls Softball Complex Project. It includes paving the existing gravel parking lot at the back of the complex and construction of a drainage basin to address stormwater concerns through the park.
On March 19, 2024, City Council awarded a contract to McAnany Construction, Inc. for construction of Phase I of this project, which includes paving the existing gravel parking lot at the back of the complex and construction of a drainage basin to address stormwater concerns through the park. Due to the excellent price for Phase I of the project, Phase II is able to be completed at the same time. This Change Order No. 1, in the amount of $673,361.40, is for construction of Phase II of the project, which includes repaving the existing parking lot on the front part of the complex as well as repaving the entrance to the park that connects to 151st Street.
Construction of this project is tentatively scheduled to begin in Spring 2024 with completion anticipated Fall 2024.
