Summary:

In 2023, the City Council awarded a one year contract with the option of two additional one-year renewals to Allen, Gibbs, and Houlik L.C. (AGH) to provide audit and tax services for the City of Olathe after a formal RFP was completed in 2023.

 

Staff is pleased with the services that AGH provides and recommends renewal of the contract to complete audit and tax preparation services for the 2024 fiscal year.

 

The total cost for the City’s audit includes the following:

 

City Financial Statement Audit:                                                                                                          $92,500

ACFR Preparation:                                                                                                                                                     14,000

Single Audit (per audit):                                                                                                                                  6,800

Housing Authority Audit:                                                                                                                                17,850

Fireman’s Relief Audit, Report, and 990 Tax Prep:                                            12,700

Parks and Rec Foundation 990 Tax Prep:                                                                                            3,200

Mahaffie Foundation 990 Tax Prep:                                                                                        3,200

Financial Impact:

The total cost of the audit is budgeted within the Financial Services division of Economy. The total cost of $150,250 includes the single audit of one major program. Additional program audits will be billed at a rate of $6,800 per program, as needed.
