Summary:
Olathe prides itself on being a City of Champions, encompassing a wide variety of talents, including both academic achievements and top finishes in competitive activities. The City Council is asked to recognize student accomplishments throughout the year, and Tuesday evening the following students will be honored:
Olathe North Gymnastics
All Around - Sophie Beaumont, ONW
Vault - Sophia Beaumont, ONW
Uneven Bars - Sophia Beaumont, ONW
Floor Exercise - Sophia Beaumont, ONW
Beam - Kailynn Sparks, OE
Olathe Northwest Girls Tennis
Represented Kansas at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders - Daral Cain Jr., Olathe Northwest High School
Thespy award winners at the International Thespian Festival - Abigail Dresbach, Olathe Northwest High School; Lauren Ware, Olathe North High School; Cole Witt, Olathe South High School
Sixth in the nation in the Ed Rising Moment - Varsity competition of the Educators Rising - Abby Vandaveer, Olathe South High School
Representing the United States at the 2025 Para Powerlifting Worlds Next Gen competition - Brinley Hutson, Olathe East High School
The athletic and activities directors from Olathe’s high schools will be present to introduce the students.
