Summary: Infrastructure is seeking approval for purchase and replacement of 77 GPS Units and the associated two-year service contract with Samsara.
These GPS units will be installed in vehicles associated with sanitation removal, and street sweeping. The GPS Units will allow for better mapping and improved efficiencies for operations.
In addition to increased efficiency, the City will have better ability to track asset usage, and increase driver safety. These units should also greatly reduce the effort required by staff related to GIS.
Samsara has provided a quote using KS State Contract 53134.

$168,595 to paid be from the Solid Waste and Stormwater Funds.
