Summary:

Chemicals used for the City’s water production and wastewater treatment are specific to the treatment processes and required to comply with the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), Underwriters Laboratories (UL), American Water Works Association (AWWA), and federal, state, and local regulations.

 

Staff recommend renewing contracts with Brenntag Mid-South, Inc.; Evoqua Water Technologies; Harcros Chemicals, Inc.; Mississippi Lime Company; Polydyne Inc.; and PVS Technologies.

Financial Information:

$2,280,000 in expenditures will be charged to the treatment chemical accounts of Water Production and Wastewater Treatment.
