Summary:
This agreement allows McConnell Associates Corp. to be responsible for the demolition and installation of a new basketball court and fencing at Black Bob Park.
The existing basketball court is past its prime and needs an overhaul. The concrete has cracks and the surface is unsuitable for play. The new basketball court will be constructed with post-tensioned concrete. Post-tension concrete involves laying cables (tendons) inside the concrete slab and then tensioning the cables after the concrete cures. This process will create a slab that is strong, flexible, and less prone to cracking.
The agreement is for $227,943.00. McConnell Associates Corp. has an experienced construction team; they specialize in hard courts. The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) is the cooperative purchasing agreement being utilized for this new basketball court.
The basketball court construction is scheduled to begin after approval of the agreement. The new court will be completed by Fall 2026.

2025 Park Sales Tax $ 1,000,000
