Summary:
On January 23, 2025, three (3) bids were received and opened for the above referenced project. The bids ranged from $3,050,533.70 to $3,589,630.00 with the Engineer’s Estimate at $4,250,693.50. Linaweaver Construction Inc. submitted the low and responsible bid amount of $3,050,533.70. The following is a tabulation of the bids received:

Improvements to South Hamilton Circle and Public Safety Drive will include full depth asphalt pavement and subgrade replacement, replacement of concrete curb and gutters, installation of sidewalk, driveway approaches, streetlight installation, and stormwater improvements. Phase 2 includes Hamilton Circle from just east of the railroad tracks through Public Safety Drive. It also includes Public Safety Drive from Hamilton Circle to Old US-56.
Construction of Phase 2 tentatively scheduled to begin in May 2025 with completion anticipated in Fall 2025.

Financial Impact:
This project is funded from the City of Olathe’s 2024 and 2025 Street Reconstruction Programs. The 2024 Street Reconstruction Program was authorized on March 21, 2023. The 2025 Street Reconstruction Program was authorized on January 23, 2024. Authorized revenue for the 2024 and 2025 Street Reconstruction Program includes:
