Summary:
This project is needed to address safety and capacity concerns in the area. The project will improve Quivira Road from 143rd Street to 151st Street from a 2-lane unimproved roadway to a 2-lane divided arterial section with turn lanes. Improvements will include pavement construction, curb and gutter, medians, streetlights, sidewalk and sidepath, bike lanes and storm sewers.
On February 26, 2026, three (3) bids were received and opened for the above referenced project. The bids ranged from $8,845,000.00 to $9,711,778.70 with the Engineer’s Estimate at $10,238,697.50. McAnany Construction, Inc. submitted the low and responsible bid in the amount of $8,845,000.00. The following is a tabulation of bids received:
