Summary:
The State of Kansas has negotiated an open service contract structure with the service provider known as Remi. This contract allows Olathe to utilize Remi as a service provider for critical laboratory instruments where they provide fixed service rates for the required annual service on this equipment. It is a fixed cost arrangement where Remi takes on the risk of equipment maintenance above and beyond what is anticipated, providing us cost certainty on maintaining the equipment. This has resulted in an annual savings of $10,000 per year compared to our previous costs when we negotiated individual contracts with each equipment manufacturer ourselves.
Staff requests award of a one (1) year contract with Remi.
