Summary:
The Economy Focus Area annually provides this report to the Olathe City Council and the public regarding Olathe’s economic development activity. This report provides general information regarding new and existing economic development activity as it relates to the City’s industrial revenue bonds, tax increment financing, transportation development districts, community improvement districts, benefit districts, and the neighborhood revitalization program.
2023 activity in summary:
• Industrial Revenue Bonds:
o Bond authorization for 6 projects totaling $242,826,198.
o Resolution of Intents issued for 8 projects.
o 1 project completed.
• Neighborhood Revitalization Program:
o 5 applications received.
