Summary:
There are missing sidewalk links in older parts of the city, as well as adjacent to schools. The Sidewalk Construction Project is an annual project and will include the construction of new sidewalks that would not be built as part of a street improvement project. This year’s project is constructing sidewalk in the Heritage, Northview, and Rolling Ridge Elementary School Districts.
On July 2, four (4) bids were received and opened for the above-mentioned project. The bids ranged from $367,464.00 to $734,692.13 with the Engineer’s Estimate at $365,506.50. Sands Construction, LLC, submitted the low and responsible bid in the amount of $367,464.00. The following is a tabulation of the bids received:
