Summary:
On March 17, 2020, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 20-1024, City Council Policy CC-3 (Time Allocations and Rules of Conduct for Speakers at Public Meetings of the Olathe City Council) (Attachment A). The policy provides 5 minutes for speakers to address the Governing Body on public hearing items and 3 minutes for speakers to address the governing body on general issues and concerns regarding items that are not on the City Council’s agenda.
At the request of the Council, staff has prepared the attached resolution (Attachment B) amending Section One (C) of the Policy to provide 3 minutes for speakers to address the Governing Body on public hearing items.
