Summary:
The City of Olathe has a price agreement with Olathe Winwater Works Co. for the purchase of fire hydrants, extensions and hydrant repair kits. Olathe Winwater Works supplies fire hydrants and related materials to the city for repair and replacement of water infrastructure.
Staff recommends the renewal of this agreement and authorization for the purchase of sixty (60) fire hydrants from Olathe Winwater Works Co. for the Hydrant Replacement Project.

Financial Information:
Funding for the Hydrant Replacement Project (PN 5-C-030-26), as approved in the 2026 Capital Improvement Plan, includes the following sources:
Revenue Bonds $302,500
The cost for sixty (60) Kennedy Fire Hydrants from Olathe Winwater Works Co. is $202,500. The remaining $100,00 in project funds will be spent on additional materials including water valves and contracted services and will be brought to future council meetings as required.
