Summary:
On February 17, 2026, two (2) bids were received and opened for the above referenced project. The bids ranged from $4,653,295.25 to $5,274,433.25 with the Engineer’s Estimate at $5,811,589.50. McAnany Construction, Inc. submitted the low and responsible bid in the amount of $4,653,295.25. The following is a tabulation of the bids received:

The 135th Street Arterial Mill and Overlay Project from Indian Creek Trail to Pflumm Road will provide a 2” mill and resurfacing with concrete curb and sidewalk replacement, installation of ADA compliant sidewalk ramps, installation of an 8’ wide shared use path on the south side of 135th Street, signal replacement at Brougham Drive and Black Bob Road, the addition of a northbound and a westbound right turn lane at Brougham Drive, signal detection replacement and placement of pavement markings.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in Spring 2026 and tentatively scheduled to be completed in Fall 2026.

Financial Impact:
This project is funded from the City of Olathe’s 2026 Street Preservation Program authorized on January 20, 2026. Authorized funding for the 2026 Street Preservation Program includes:
G.O. Bonds $ 2,800,000
Street Maintenance Sales Tax $16,134,208
Total: $18,934,208
