Summary:
This project will utilize closed-circuit television (CCTV) to inspect 120,000 linear feet of stormwater pipe. The project will focus on stormwater pipes along local and collector streets in residential areas. Pipe condition data collected during this project will be used to plan for pipe replacement projects in residential neighborhoods. Condition data is also required for future pipe replacement funding applications.
The Stormwater Section will procure a contractor to provide CCTV pipe inspection services for this project. A Professional Services Agreement for contracted services will be brought before City Council in the near future.
This project was chosen to be funded by Johnson County’s Stormwater Management Advisory Council (SMAC) program in the amount of $248,897 (50% of $497,794). In order to accept this funding, the City must approve an Agreement with Johnson County.
The project is scheduled to begin in Summer 2025.
