Summary:
The City, in an effort to reduce reliance on leased property, and efficiently use city owned spaces, is looking to renovate the basement/Garden Level of City Hall, 100 E. Santa Fe, and build out approximately half of 1432 W. Ironwood Street. Work planned for 1432 Ironwood, currently warehouse space, includes adding exterior windows, offices, conference room, breakroom, open office and workroom space for approximately 25-30 staff. At City Hall, plans will include the removal of walls to create a more open space, new carpet, lighting, ceiling tile and support spaces for approximately 40 staff currently officing at the leased Renner space.
The contract is for the sum of One Hundred and One Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($101,900) for all planning design, permitting, bidding, reimbursable expenses, and other services necessary to the Design Build team to establish GMP proposals. The maximum compensation stated above for design services is calculated by multiplying the Design -Builders design phase fee of five-point eight percent (5.8% against the current anticipated program budget for the total project cost of one million seven hundred and fifty-five thousand ($1,755,000).
