Consideration of renewal of contract to GSC Lighting and Supply for the purchase of streetlight supplies for Traffic Division.

Summary:
The City previously entered into one (1)-year contracts with GSC Lighting and Supply in September 2024 to provide streetlight poles and bases, as well as streetlight supplies including photocells, cabinets, controllers, wiring, fuses, and other miscellaneous items, for the maintenance of streetlights within the City of Olathe. These materials are used for streetlight repairs and maintenance, including poles that are knocked down, incur weather-related damage, fail inspections, receive poor inspection ratings, or are needed for additions to areas of the City. The contracts were renewed for an additional one (1)-year term in 2025.
Staff recommend combining and renewing the contracts with GSC Lighting and Supply for an additional one (1)-year term, with the option to extend for additional contract periods.

Financial Information:
Anticipated expenditures for the contract term are $450,000. Funding will be from the Traffic Operations operating budget.
