Summary:
On October 24, 2025, six (6) bids were received and opened for the above referenced project. The bids ranged from $1,281,482.00 to $2,038,027.15 with the Engineer’s Estimate at $1,397,152.61. Pyramid Contractors, Inc. submitted the low and responsible bid in the amount of $1,281,482.00. The following is a tabulation of the bids received:

This multi-modal trail is a .95-mile-long segment that will connect Beaver Shelter in Lake Olathe Park with the paved trails at JCPRD’s Cedar Niles Park. The Cedar Creek Streamway trail will be, once completed, a 10-foot wide recreational streamway trail that connects Cedar Lake, Lake Olathe, and Johnson County’s Cedar Niles Park.
The Cedar Creek Trail will ultimately tie into the existing trail system of Lake Olathe, the trail system of Cedar Lake and the Johnson County (JCPRD) trail system in Cedar Niles Park, north of Lake Olathe.
Construction is scheduled to begin in Spring 2026 with completion in Winter of 2026.
