Summary:

This request is for acceptance of the dedication of land for public easements associated with the final plat of Olathe Industrial Tracts, Third Plat located at 1225 W. Pittman Street. The plat reestablishes lot lines and dedicates public easements for one (1) industrial lot to accommodate the construction of a proposed 60,000 square-foot industrial building for Centaur Animal Health.

 

The plat dedicates utility (U/E), sanitary sewer (S/E), and drainage (D/E) easements, and vacates the remaining segments of a partially vacated public water easement. A new public water easement (W/E) is dedicated along the east and south boundaries to accommodate the construction of the proposed facility. The final plat is consistent with the revised preliminary site development plan (PR25-0018) and complies with the requirements of the M-2 (General Industrial) District.

 

As this is a replat of previously platted property, the plat is not subject to excise taxes.

Action Needed:

1.                     Accept the dedication of land for public easements for the final plat of Olathe Industrial Tracts, Third Plat (FP25-0034) (majority vote of the Councilmembers present required).

2.                     Reject the dedication of land for public easements and vacation of public water easements and return the plat to the Planning Commission for further consideration with a statement specifying the basis for the Governing Body’s failure to accept the dedication (majority vote of the Councilmembers present required).
