Summary:

On February 3, 2026, four (4) bids were received and opened for the above referenced project. The bids ranged from $3,680,336.39 to $3,859,461.00 with the Engineer’s Estimate at $4,061,598.70. McAnany Construction, Inc. submitted the low and responsible bid in the amount of $3,680,336.39. The following is a tabulation of the bids received:

This Street Preservation project will provide a 2” depth mill and asphalt , spot replacement of concrete curb and sidewalk, installation of ADA sidewalk ramps and replacement of pavement markings on twenty-seven (27) local and collector streets and Lone Elm Road (164th Street to the south city limit).

 

This project will also provide improvements associated with the Olathe Private Street Preservation Program (OPSPP). The improvements include full depth spot repair of the asphalt pavement on four private streets in the Mill Creek Farms neighborhood. The total cost for the improvements is $46,285.54. Participation in this program allows the City to organize and oversee the construction, as well as share 25% of the construction costs ($11,571.38). 

 

Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in Spring 2026 and tentatively scheduled to be completed in Fall 2026.

Financial Impact:

This project is funded from the City of Olathe’s 2026 Street Preservation Program authorized on January 20, 2026. Authorized funding for the 2026 Street Preservation Program includes:
