Summary:
Due to the growth of Downtown Olathe, including construction of the Johnson County Courthouse and the Downtown Olathe Library, there is a need for additional parking at City Hall. This project is a collaboration between Johnson County and the City of Olathe to construct a parking garage in the current City Hall parking lot. This facility will be available for use by City and County staff, visitors, and the general public.
The project is estimated to cost $22.5 million, which will cover the expenses related to design, construction, and inspection.
The planning phase is tentatively scheduled to begin in Fall 2025, with construction expected to start in 2026.
