Summary:
This agreement allows Unlimited Sports Solutions, Inc. to be responsible for the manufacturing and installation of four “Tiger Net” baseball backstops. These new backstops will replace the aging backstops currently on Prairie Center Park baseball fields 1-4. The replacement of these backstops will offer an enhanced viewing experience, 10,000 square feet of additional safety coverage for spectators compared to the existing backstops and will also reduce the number of cars being struck by foul baseballs.
The City of Olathe’s Park Operations team researched several types of systems, materials, and installation methods. Unlimited Sports Solutions provided the best value and contractor services for the City of Olathe.
The agreement is for $232,609.70. United Sports Solutions, Inc. has their own, experienced construction and installation team. TIPS (contract #210803) is the cooperative purchasing agreement being utilized for the proposed backstop systems.
The manufacturing for the proposed backstop systems is scheduled to begin after approval of this agreement. The deadline for installation is late winter/early spring of 2025.

2022 Park Sales Tax $ 350,000
2023 Park Sales Tax $ 800,000
2024 Park Sales Tax $ 800,000
Total $1,950,000
