Summary:

The Olathe Public Library and the Johnson County Library collaborate closely to maintain a seamless experience for their customers across all library locations. OPL and JCL pursued a joint print management solution aimed at enhancing and streamlining current computer reservation management and printing services, and the TBS proposal provided the best services that was the most cost effective.

The MyPC computer reservation management tool allows users to view computer availability and make online reservations via a smartphone, tablet or computer. This creates a much-improved self-service environment and reduces staff involvement.

The TBS printing solution presents advanced functionalities, promising an elevated user experience for both staff and customers. Central to its appeal are key features such as an all-encompassing system that seamlessly integrates all management functions into a unified platform, thereby streamlining operations and enhancing overall efficiency.

Enhanced capabilities include high-coin and bill payment kiosks, remote printing from home, mobile printing, email-to-print, printing from existing laptop vending units, self-service scanning, faxing, and an intuitive interface aimed at reducing reliance on staff intervention. Furthermore, seamless integration with existing products like Papercut and Nayax ensures a smooth transition and maximizes compatibility across platforms.

The TBS solution improves accessibility in multiple ways including an interface available in over 25 languages, translates text to speech in over 50 languages, and features for the visually impaired, such as magnifier, narrator, and high contrast scheme.

Staff recommends award of contract to TBS.
