Summary:
Precision Concrete Cutting Midwest provided a quote for saw cutting services based on the cooperative procurement allowed under TIPS contract #23060201.
Street Maintenance has worked with Precision Concrete in the past to provide sidewalk cutting services to remove sidewalk trip hazards, and ADA concerns. Contracted sidewalk cutting is an inexpensive, quick and clean method of correcting ADA sidewalk issues that leaves a more aesthetically pleasing finish than traditional sidewalk grinding.
Additionally, Precision Concrete Cutting provides a survey of the provided neighborhood to identify sidewalk and ADA ramp defects and trip and fall hazards (hazards 1/2" inch or greater). This survey identifies both sidewalk Precision Concrete can cut and repair, but also sidewalks needing more comprehensive replacement (to be performed by in-house staff). Precision Concrete Cutting is the only company providing this patented sidewalk cutting process capable of eliminating ADA sidewalk issues.
City staff recommends the award of a two (2)-year agreement with the option for additional renewal periods.
