Summary: On November 13, 2018, three (3) qualification packets were received for Yard Restoration and Landscaping Services. For many years, the City of Olathe has utilized an outside vendor for the restoration of yards after utility crews respond to emergency water main breaks and/or after in-house water and sewer projects. Recently, the vendor has also been used for the restoration of yards after curb and gutter replacement or city rehab projects performed by contractors.
Due to the location in private yards, street right of way and easements, it is important that the restoration of these work sites be performed in a timely manner and restored to a condition as good as, or better than, before the work occurred. This contract will provide the yard restoration and landscaping services to those areas impacted by this work.
After reviewing qualifications, the City of Olathe recommends awarding the primary contract to Hometown Lawn, LLC with a secondary contract awarded to Turf Design, Inc.
Seven (7) Olathe vendors were notified of the bid. One (1) Olathe vendor responded and is being selected as primary contractor for yard restoration (Hometown Lawn, LLC).

Financial Impact:
Expenditures are estimated at $80,000 for 2019, to be paid from the Field Operations operating budget.
