Acceptance of bid and consideration of award of contract to Elliott Equipment for the replacement of two (2) street sweepers for the Stormwater Division of Public Works. .

Summary: On December 13, 2018, three (3) bids were received for tow (2) compressed natural gas street sweepers. The street sweepers are used in daily operations for the Stormwater Management Division of Public Works.
The street sweepers (Vehicle #’s: 2061702 and 2061703) are being replaced as part of the regular replacement schedule. The vehicles have paid $672,725 in lease fees into the Vehicle and Equipment Replacement Fund.
Staff recommends award of contract to Elliott Equipment, the lowest, most responsible and responsive bid.
Three (3) Olathe vendors were notified but none responded because they do not provide this type of equipment.

Financial Impact:
$529,858.00 for two (2) street sweepers to be paid from the Vehicle and Equipment Replacement Fund.
