Acceptance of bid and consideration of award of contract to Olathe Winwater Works Co. for the purchase of fire hydrants, extensions and repair kits for the Field Operations Division of Public Works. .

Summary: On February 7, 2019, three (3) bids were received for the purchase of fire hydrants, extensions and repair kits. This price agreement will provide parts and materials necessary to maintain, repair or replace the City of Olathe fire hydrants
Staff recommends award of a three (3) year contract to Olathe Winwater Works Co., with the option to extend for an additional two (2)-year contract period.
11 vendors were notified of this solicitation, two (2) are Olathe Vendors. One Olathe vendor did not respond because they do not supply this type of equipment. Olathe Winwater Works Co. is an Olathe vendor.

Financial Impact:
$740,000.00 for three (3) years to be paid from the Water and Sewer Fund.
