Summary:
On February 14, 2019, six (6) bids were received and opened for the above referenced project. The bids ranged from $ 2,819,120.50 to $ 3,151,510.56 with the Engineer’s Estimate at $ 3,198,829.60. Freeman Concrete Construction, LLC submitted the low and responsible bid in the amount of $ 2,819,120.50. The following is a tabulation of the bids received:

This Street Preservation project will provide a 2” depth mill and asphalt overlay, spot replacement of concrete curb and sidewalk, installation of ADA sidewalk ramps and replacement of pavement markings on forty-one (41) local and collector streets generally in the Sheridan Bridge, Peppermill and Lone Elm Industrial neighborhoods (see attached Project Location Map).
Construction is scheduled to begin in Spring 2019 and will be completed in Fall 2019.

Financial Impact:
This project is funded from the City of Olathe’s 2019 Street Preservation Program authorized on January 22, 2019. Authorized revenue for the 2019 Street Preservation Program includes:
Street Maintenance Sales Tax $12,750,000
CIP Fund $ 2,800,000
General Obligation Bonds $ 1,000,000
Total $16,550,000
