Summary:
These devises will be utilized in the new Indian Creek Library for the purpose of being able to check out a laptop that can be used anywhere in the library without being limited to stationary desktop stations. This allows for greater flexibility of patron use and permits a greater number of customers to use library issued computers. iPads would also be available for use. The iPads would be especially beneficial to parents in that they will be configured with applications geared toward children. NetSpot is the only company that gives us the flexibility to offer both iPads and laptops to our customers. Not only does NetSpot allow the most flexibility, but each device has a smaller footprint and a lower cost than its competitors.
Staff recommends award to NetSpot.

Financial Impact:
Estimated expenditure will be $91,530 to be paid from the Library Technology Equipment budget from the Indian Creek Library Project.
