Summary:
Shawnee Mission Ford (SMF) submitted a quote through the Metro Bid Contract# 2016-002 for one (1) cab & chassis for a 1-1/2 Ton Pickup Truck, Ford F-450.
American Equipment submitted a quote through Kansas City, Missouri Contract# EV2260 for the purchase and installation of one (1) vehicle body on to the Ford F-450 cab & chassis from SMF.
The completed unit will be used by Field Operations Division of Public Works in the on-going maintenance, construction and repair of City of Olathe water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure.
Staff recommends award to Shawnee Mission Ford for the replacement of a cab & chassis and to American Equipment for the replacement of a vehicle body to be installed on the replacement vehicle for Public Works Utility Maintenance.
The cab and chassis are being replaced as part of the regular replacement schedule as part of the 2019/2020 biennial budget. The vehicle has paid $80,007 through lease fees. VERF fund balance will cover the additional $18,870.

Financial Impact:
$98,877 for the purchase of the cab & chassis ($41,901) and vehicle body ($56,976). Funding will come from the Vehicle and Equipment Replacement Fund
