Summary:
City of Olathe has a long-standing relationship with Fastenal utilizing cooperative contracts for industrial supply items such as washers, nuts, bolts, screws, hand tools, pneumatic tools, etc. Fastenal has both an online site for ordering as well as a storefront in Olathe, Kansas. The State of Kansas Contract offers discounts that range from 25% to 57% off list price.
Staff recommends award of contract to Fastenal utilizing State of Kansas Contract #44988 for a contract term through June 30, 2023.
Departments that heavily utilize this contract are those from Traffic, Wastewater Treatment Facilities, Vehicle Maintenance, and Facilities Management.
