Summary: Sourcewell competitively issued a bid and awarded cooperative contracts to O’Reilly Auto Parts, Advance Auto Parts and Genuine Parts Company dba NAPA Auto Parts for the purchase of automotive parts and supplies. Parts and supplies purchased through these contracts are used to repair and maintain the City’s fleet. General automotive or “after-market” parts are used when original equipment manufacturer parts are not necessary. After-market parts and accessories are generally less expensive and often of better quality than original parts.
Staff recommends award of a one (1) year contract, with the option of one (1) additional year.
O’Reilly Auto Parts, Advance Auto Parts and NAPA Auto Parts are Olathe vendors.

Financial Impact:
Expenditures for this contract period are estimated to be $200,000.00. Funding will come from the Central Garage Fund.
