Summary:

This plat includes one lot, approximately 6.77± acres, and no common tracts.  Approximately 0.28± acres of arterial street right-of-way is being dedicated for S. Harrison Street, along the western plat boundary to meet UDO requirements for street right-of-way.

 

The property is located within the City of Olathe water and sanitary sewer service areas. Utility easements (U/E), sanitary sewer easements (S/E), and storm drainage easements (D/E) will also be dedicated with this final plat.

 

The subject property was zoned R-1 in 1970, when conventional zoning districts were first established in the City, but it was never platted. This final plat is consistent with the approved preliminary site development plan and complies with Unified Development Ordinance (UDO)  requirements.

 

The Planning Commission recommended approval of the final plat with a 5-0 vote on September 23, 2019 as stipulated in the meeting minutes.

Action Needed:

1.                     Accept the dedication of land for public purposes for Center of Grace Church (FP19-0017).

2.                     Reject the dedication of land for public purposes for Center of Grace Church and return the plat to the Planning Commission for further consideration with a statement specifying the basis for the Governing Body’s failure to accept the dedication.
