Summary:
This Overland Park Mill and Overlay Project on College Boulevard includes approximately 520 feet of the eastbound lanes west of Quivira Road which are within the city limits of Olathe. The pavement on College Boulevard west of these project limits was resurfaced in 2017 and in is not included in the project. When resurfacing is required on street segments shared between multiple cities such as College Boulevard, the best practice is to complete the work as one combined project through an Inter-Local Agreement. This Agreement will allow the City of Olathe to include the area in need of resurfacing within the city limits of Olathe to be included with the City of Overland Park Project. The westbound lanes on the west side of Quivira are within the city limits of Lenexa and will also be included in the project construction, through a separate Inter-Local Agreement between the cities of Lenexa and Overland Park at no cost to the city of Olathe. Reimbursement will be made by the City of Olathe to the City of Overland Park upon completion of the contracted work within the Olathe limits of the project.
Construction is scheduled to begin in May of this year.

Financial Impact:
The estimated Olathe share of the project cost for design and construction is $68,388.06 . Funding for the reimbursement to Overland Park is from the City of Olathe Street Preservation Program, PN 3-P-000-20.
