Summary:
Due to CoVid 19, it has been a struggle to purchase personal protection equipment (PPE) for the City. When vendors announce their availability for the much-needed PPE, end users must respond as quickly as possible due to the first come, first serve nature of the demand. As a result, the Emergency Orders were issued to secure the needs of the City as they relate to PPE.
EmbroidMe has been a long-standing and trusted vendor for the City of Olathe. A large purchase of N95 Face Masks, Disposable Masks, Isolation Gowns, and Hand Sanitizer was purchased from EmbroidMe and distributed amongst our frontline staff in Public Works, Police and Fire Departments.
Total cost for the emergency purchase of PPE was $151,050.

Financial Impact:
This expenditure will be allocated proportionally to the general, water & sewer, solid waste and stormwater funds.
