Item Description:

Request for the acceptance of the dedication of land for public easements for a final plat for Brentwood Villas (FP20-0021) containing one (1) lot on approximately 4.25 acres; located in the vicinity of W. 155th Street and S. Brentwood Street.  Planning Commission approved this plat 8 to 0.

Summary:

This final plat application is to establish one (1) lot of land intended for future senior housing and to dedicate public easements within the development.

The 4.25-acre subject property was rezoned from CTY-RUR (County Rural) to R-3 (Residential Low-Density Multifamily) and included a preliminary site development plan in 2018 (RZ18-0022) for Brentwood Villas Senior Housing. Final site development plans (PAR20-0029) were recently approved in December 2020.

This plat is subject to a street excise tax of $0.215 per square foot of land. Final plats in multi-family zoning districts are subject to a traffic signal excise tax of $0.0120 per square foot of land. The required excise taxes will be submitted to the Planning Division prior to recording the final plat.

Action Needed:

1. Accept the dedication of land for public easements for the Brentwood Villas Final Plat (FP20-0021).

2. Reject the dedication of land for public easements for the Brentwood Villas Final Plat (FP20-0021) and return the plat to the Planning Commission for further consideration with a statement specifying the basis for the Governing Body’s failure to accept the dedication.
