Summary:
On January 26, 2021, four (4) bids were received and opened for the above referenced project. The bids ranged from $1,299,999.99 to $1,443,425.67 with the Engineer’s Estimate at $1,594,187.50. McAnany Construction, Inc. submitted the low and responsible bid in the amount of $1,299,999.99. The following is a tabulation of the bids received:

This Street Preservation project will provide a 3.5” depth concrete mill and asphalt overlay, spot replacement of concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, installation of ADA sidewalk ramps, installation of 8’ wide concrete shared use path on the east side, and replacement of pavement markings.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in Spring 2021 and tentatively scheduled to be completed in Fall 2021.

Financial Impact:
This project is funded from the City of Olathe’s 2021 Street Preservation Program authorized on January 5, 2021. Authorized revenue for the 2021 Street Preservation Program includes:
G.O. Bonds $ 4,200,000
Street Maintenance Sales Tax $ 11,000,000
Total $ 15,200,000
