Request for the acceptance of the dedication of land for public easements for a final plat of KCAS-Olathe (FP21-0001) containing one (1) lot on approximately 6.00 acres; located at 10800 Clay Blair Boulevard. Planning Commission approved the plat 8 to 0.

Summary:
This final plat application is to establish one (1) lot of land and dedicate public easements within this portion of the Kansas Bioscience business park located on S. Clay Blair Blvd. The applicant is replatting a 6.0-acre portion of Lot 1 in the Kansas Bioscience Park Addition 1st Plat to allow for the construction of a 67,950 square foot laboratory and office facility. The subject property was rezoned to BP (RZ-07-023) in 2007 and was previously platted in 2008 (P-08-017).
Several easements including utility easements, sanitary sewer easements, a sidewalk easement, drainage easements and landscape easements will be dedicated with this final plat. Public right-of-way has already been dedicated through previous plats.
A corresponding application (PR21-0001) for revised preliminary site development plans was recently approved by Planning Commission on March 8, 2021.

2. Reject the dedication of land for public easements for the KCAS-Olathe Final Plat (FP21-0001) and return the plat to the Planning Commission for further consideration with a statement specifying the basis for the Governing Body’s failure to accept the dedication.
