Summary:

This project is in place to meet the stormwater detention needs of developments within the Coffee Creek watershed, to reduce the risk of flooding of four (4) homes identified within the 100-year floodplain, and to reduce the risk of street flooding on Black Bob Road.  The project includes construction of an earthen embankment and reinforced concrete box culverts on Coffee Creek along the future Brougham Drive alignment south of 167th Street and the future Lindenwood Drive alignment south of 167th Street.

On March 21, 2017, City Council awarded a Professional Services Agreement to Affinis Corp. (Affinis) for the design of the Brougham Drive Regional Detention Basin Project. During the permitting process for the project, the Kansas Department of Agriculture - Division of Water Resources (KDA-DWR) imposed numerous requirements including full time inspection and observation of the construction of the basin dams by the Engineer of Record (Affinis).  This Supplemental Agreement fulfills the requirement imposed by KDA-DWR.

The total fee for the services provided in Supplemental Agreement No. 7 is $155,769 This will raise the total fee for all services provided under the agreement from $665,820 to $821,589.

Construction is scheduled to begin in Spring 2021, with an estimated completion of construction by Fall 2021.
