Summary:
The City of Olathe will be utilizing the MACPP Cooperative Metro-Bid (contract# 49-19) for the purchase of the following City’s vehicles.
Item #1. One (1) 1 Ton Pickup Truck. Animal Control replacement vehicle for Quality of Life. This purchase is for the cab and chassis and the compartment box will be ordered from a separate vendor.
Item #2. One (1) 1 Ton Pickup Truck. Animal Control replacement vehicle for Quality of Life. This purchase includes the cab, chassis, and bed of the vehicle.
Items #3 - #4. Two (2) Dodge Charger Police Vehicles. Replacement of Police Investigation vehicles.
Item #5. One (1) Dodge Durango Vehicle. Replacement of Police Command vehicle, Chief of Police.
Items #6 -#15. Ten (10) Tahoe Pursuit Vehicles. Replacement of Police Patrol vehicles.
All fifteen (15) vehicles being purchased are replacement vehicles as part of the regular 2021 replacement schedule. The vehicles have paid $515,718.16 into the Vehicle and Equipment Replacement Fund (VERF) through lease fees. VERF fund balance will cover the additional $33,152.34.

$548,870.50 Funding will come from the Vehicle Equipment Replacement Fund (VERF).
