Summary:
Pavement life cycles can be substantially increased (up to 30%) with periodic application of surface sealant and joint caulking applications. The approved 2021-2025 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) included funding to establish a program to enhance longevity of paving at City facilities and address improvements/repairs to City parking lots and the City’s parking garage.
The CIP sheet for the Facility & Parking Lot Improvements & Maintenance Project is included as Attachment A. Staff will return to Council on April 20th to request approval to authorize the project.

Financial Impact:
Funding for the 2021 Facility & Parking Lot Improvements & Maintenance Project, as approved in the 2021-2025 Capital Improvement Plan, includes:
GO Bonds $400,000
Total $400,000

No action is requested at this time. Staff will return to Council on April 20, 2021 to request approval to authorize the project.
