Summary:
This Change Order will allow for a 2” mill and asphalt overlay, base repair and crack repair (as needed) of the City-owned parking lot south of Loula Street and west of Kansas Avenue. The pavement is in poor condition, and the parking lot will be the new location for solid waste recycling containers for residents to access.
Staff compared the price from McAnany’s contract for the 2021 Local and Collector Street Mill and Overlay Project - Group B to the prices in our Price Agreement for Asphalt Trail Repairs with Updike Paving Corporation. The prices in the contract with McAnany provided for the least expensive repair project for the parking lot.
Change Order No. 1 is for $113,966.10. Although this is a Change Order to a Contract for a Street Preservation Program project, the parking lot repairs will be funded from the 2021 Facility & Parking Lot Improvements & Maintenance Project.
It is anticipated that construction will occur in Spring 2021.

These parking lot repairs will be funded from the 2021 Facility & Parking Lot Improvements & Maintenance Project. Funding, as approved in the 2021-2025 Capital Improvement Plan, includes:
