Summary:
On March 30, 2021 these services were competitively solicited and only one company responded with a bid. Verhulst & Sons is an Olathe based business whom the City has worked with for several years and have had great success with this partnership.
This contract will be utilized by the Community Enhancement Division to ensure properties are brought into compliance after an inspector has worked with the owner without resolution for mowing, debris removal, tree trimming, and other code violations.
Staff recommends a five (5) year contract with Verhulst & Sons through April 30, 2026.

Estimated annual expenditures are $50,000 to be funded by operating funds.
