Summary:
Johnson County Wastewater (JCW) has made a request for the Olathe Governing Body to consider the enlargement of the Consolidated Main Sewer District to provide sanitary sewer service for 31 lots on approximately 23.13 acres located at the southeast corner of 119th Street and Nelson Road, for Battle Creek Estates. This request is for approval to extend sewer to the property, which is not currently served, and lies within the Johnson County Wastewater service area.
Since the property is within the City of Olathe corporate boundaries, the Governing Body must consent to the creation of the district before a petition can be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for their consideration. City staff has reviewed the request and has identified no issues to preclude the sewer district enlargement.
