Summary:
The City of Olathe will be utilizing the MACPP Cooperative Metro-Bid (contract# 49-19) for the purchase of the following City’s vehicles.
Item #1 - 3. Three (3) single axle International cab and chassis for dump body installation. These are replacement for Infrastructure Street Maintenance. These vehicles will be used by Streets for road maintenance and repair, and snow operations.
Item #4. One (1) Kenworth cab and chassis for container body installation. This is a replacement vehicle for Infrastructure Sanitation. This truck will be used by Sanitation for the call and haul program, container delivery, and repair.
Items #5. One (1) Tandem axle International Cab and Chassis for dump body installation. This replacement is for Stormwater Infrastructure. This truck will be used by Stormwater for the maintenance and repair of Stormwater systems, and snow operations.
All five (5) of the vehicles being purchased are replacement vehicles as part of the 2021 Budget.
The replacement vehicles are being replaced as part of the regular replacement schedule as part of the 2021 budget. The vehicles have paid $471,838 into the Vehicle and Equipment Replacement Fund (VERF) through lease fees.

$420,517. Funding will come from the Vehicle Equipment Replacement Fund (VERF).
