Summary:
The City of Olathe has a price agreement with Commenco, LLC for the purchase of Motorola Radios and related equipment for Infrastructure. This purchase will add needed radios to the department and replace outdated and unusable radios and equipment.
Staff in all divisions of Infrastructure use these radios for daily communications, during snow events and other situations that require staff at different locations to be in touch with each other. In addition, these radios have the functionality to operate with the Olathe Police Dept., Olathe Fire Dept, Johnson County Emergency Management and Communications, and the Kansas State 700 and 800 bands.
Staff recommends the purchase of 25 radios (includes three (3) years of service), batteries, remote speakers and microphones and portable and desktop chargers from Commenco, LLC.

Financial Impact:
Expenditures are $52,216.50. Funding will come from the using divisions operating budgets.
